Laura Holloway, Founder | Creative Director

Although I’m a child of the South, raised in Tennessee with a passion for sweet tea and people who say 'y'all,' I have a world of ideas from working for two decades with amazing teams and companies in Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Boston, and beyond. It’s been an interesting and incredible journey, and I’m so glad it’s brought me here.

I grew up in Cookeville, Tennessee and spent years working behind the counter at my family’s bookstore, BookWorks, where I fell in love with business and the power that ‘story’ plays for people in their everyday lives. In 2014, I combined that love of great content with that long-earned business sense to found The Storyteller Agency, a forward-thinking digital-first marketing agency that produces meaningful, storytelling content for an international clientele. In late 2023, the agency expanded to include a production brand, Storyteller House, which premiered The Kitchen in New York in October of 2024.

I’m frequently asked to speak at conferences, meetings and workshops about the value of storytelling for business, and I enjoy working with groups to define the stories they will tell. I’m known for innovative strategy, limitless creativity, and creative team leadership. You can read more about my professional experience here.

I spend the rest of my time with my husband raising our two sons and fur babies on our little farm in Tennessee. I enjoy catching lightning bugs with my kids, secret camping spots, westbound road trips, anywhere with a coastline, Saturday morning pancakes, the smell of a campfire, yin yoga (with a heavy emphasis on the Shavasana pose), old-fashioned correspondence that requires an envelope and a stamp, carry-on-only travel with my husband, 1950s and 60s jazz, and snuggling up with a good book.

I live by e.e.cummings’ words: "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." I’d love to hear your story! Write to me at laura@storytellerhouse.com.
