2021 Writer and Storyteller Holidays

2021 Writer and Storyteller Holidays

While writers and storytellers should be lauded every day (what? Where else would we get our information and entertainment?), there are a plethora of days throughout the year each year designated for celebrating writers and storytellers. To help everyone plan accordingly, we’re listing the 2021 writer and storyteller holidays that will let writers and readers when they need to jam out with their stories out. It’s about to get lit…erature up in here (up in here).

But First…a Few Tips for How to Celebrate Writer and Storyteller Holidays

As storytellers and writers, we dig into these holidays. Ways you can join us in celebrating are:

  • Post your favorite author, book, or poetry quote to Instagram. Quotes are fun!

  • Take the afternoon off and read (shelf love is self-love)

  • Tell your friends what you’re reading.

  • Drop your favorite author, writer, storyteller, etc. a review (or a hundred reviews, whatever) on their work or their social media page.

  • Write and share your own stories and poetry (the world always needs more great stories)

  • Share your love of writing and stories with younger generations

  • Visit the library…heck, live at the library. Have your birthday party at the library.

  • We mentioned read and spread your love of stories and storytellers on social media, right? Okay…on to the calendar then.
