A Recap of The Storyteller Agency’s 2018: Client Events and Highlights

Though it’s 2019, we’re still reeling from the great 2018 we just had. We at The Storyteller Agency had a pretty amazing year, and we owe it all to our incredible, giving clients, all of whom who work hard to make the world and their communities a better place. Check out this awesome highlights reel featuring our wonderful clients.

Wellness® Pet Food

Wellness® Pet Food is a long-standing pet food company that makes a wide variety of all-natural wet and dry meals, snacks, treats, and more for cats and dogs. As avid animal-lovers, we adore working with Wellness because they deliver exactly what they promise. It helps, too, that WellPet is an independent family-owned business run by people who are also pet owners and lovers. In addition to a variety of Wellness® Pet Food products, the WellPet umbrella also includes:

While Wellness® Pet Food makes it a point to be involved in local as well as national programs and services that service pets. Wellness Pet Food made headlines in 2018 for several reasons.

  • For one, as the “natural” label has become watered down due to overuse, Wellness® set itself apart in January 2018 by going transparent and making it easier for pet owners to know exactly what goes into their foods as well as the process by which they are made.

  • In May, Wellness® CORE® released 14 new protein-packed recipes in their acknowledgement that most pet owners like a variety of options for their pets.

  • And, in November 2018, Wellness® revealed that through a partnership with TerraCycle® it recycled 100,000 pet food bags as part of the Wellness Natural Pet Food Recycling Program.

Howard Properties

Howard Properties, which manages Residence Inn Sandestin, Courtyard Marriott Sandestin, and Hyatt Place Sandestin had a wonderful year providing meaningful experiences for visitors as well as in doing all that it could to support the community in the wake of Hurricane Michael in September 2018.

To begin, Hyatt Place Sandestin at Grand Boulevard opened last month, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for the Howard team! The hotel is GORGEOUS and features so many great local artists. If you haven’t yet, go by and see this stunning property or join in for their open house celebration in February.

Residence Inn Sandestin, a pet-friendly hotel, had a wonderful year welcoming guests of the two and four-legged variety, and much fun was had on the company’s Facebook page where guests vote for the Pet of the Month (#PetoftheMonth) and then the Pet of the Year (#PetoftheYear). Pet owners whose pet wins get PetSmart gift card among other honors.

Meanwhile, Courtyard Marriott Sandestin made an impact in the local community through its First Mondays at the Bistro partnership with Food For Thought Outreach (FFT). Every Monday at The Bistro at the Courtyard Marriott Sandestin, 10% of all the day’s proceeds go to FFT. The Bistro is a full-service restaurant that serves Starbucks coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks.

When Hurricane Michael devastated the Florida Gulf Coast in September 2018, both the Residence Inn Sandestin and the Courtyard Marriott Sandestin offered rooms to first responders, so they could more easily get to hard-hit places like Panama City Beach.

Food for Thought Outreach

Food for Thought Outreach (FFT) in South Walton is an organization dedicated to ensuring no child in Walton County goes hungry. They fill backpacks full of food and deliver them throughout the community. They also participate in several fundraisers and additional projects throughout the year such as ensuring hungry families get meals during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

In the wake of Hurricane Michael, FFT went the extra mile by shuttling meals and supplies to hungry first responders, as well as opening their Full Circle Kitchen up for meal preparation.

The Boys and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast

We were excited to be invited to the Annual Stake Dinner to interview the infamous Hulk Hogan and create the BAGC’s new mission video. What a night! And what an interview. Check out the video on their Facebook page and website and think about donating to this group. The work they do with kids is so invaluable to the community - they are truly making a difference!

For the third year in a row, we were asked to create the Mission Moment video for the year for DCWAF, and this year, we went all out (creatively speaking). And while we can’t give it away, let’s just say this year the video ‘reached new heights.’ Join in on the auction weekend in April and consider supporting this amazing organization and the charities it supports.
